There’s Never Been a Stop At Revivalism We Have Conquered The Church! True, there are many groups that are leaving the church based on belief in the supernatural. Many of the same reasons that the black community rejects that religion have been echoed to varying degrees over the years by white Christians, agnostics, atheists, and other white-wing progressive groups. They’re the same ones that have tried to make their own values and worldviews relevant to the Catholic Church. While there have been some groups that have managed to make their own points about their own religious tradition and practices (which themselves are not officially Church of Rome positions) these positions have always been aligned with white evangelical groups. Most recently, when they were founded in 1995 by an outspoken white agnostic Baptist pastor, Chris Gissler’s evangelical group, Gengelettes, appeared to be coming together to make sure there were no white rights movements in this area and simply try to promote their values. However, the Black Churches that were recognized by Presbyterian Churches after that initial launch, which included some of the better ones as well, ignored the vast amount of support that Evangelicals had received from white Catholics. The Church’s Modern Vision We’re Still Getting There, But We’re Looking At A New Vision As The Catholic People Turn Some of Past Gaps Off The Church Is Still in a Crisis One thing is abundantly clear from the past few weeks: the Catholic world is still looking at a new vision for real progress for the Catholic faith in two general areas: as a racial equality movement under Catholic guidelines or with the growing body of minority groups that form Sacred Orders.
